Sealed vs Expunged Records
Colorado sealing hides records from public view, but the records still exist and may remain available to law enforcement or authorized organizations. State Criminal Record Checks
Criminal court records and statewide criminal-history checks are related but not the same. A court record comes from the court case file and may include pleadings, orders, disposition, and sentencing. A criminal-history check compiles information from criminal justice records and may be used for a different purpose.
